Induction Information for students joining in September 2026

All students who will be starting at College in September 2026 will be sent an email on Tuesday 1 September with information about their Induction appointment - please check your spam folder if you do not receive the email.

It is important that all new students have completed the final stage of their enrolment by logging back in to the enrolment system and confirming their course choices.  

Until this important step has been completed we cannot finalise your enrolment in order to generate your IT account.  You need to have done this before attending your Induction appointment.  

Induction includes the following elements:

• Attend a talk with the College Principal, Zoe Smallman, (in the Simon Jarvis Lecture Theatre)
• Show your ID (see below) and be issued with your lanyard and ID card  (in TimeOut) 
• Check your IT login status (in Cafe D)
• Sort out any issues with logging in (if needed) (in Lower Bagnall LRC)

• Attend your Induction session (you will be escorted to the relevant room).

You can expect your visit to last for around 2 hours.

When you arrive at the College campus please make your way to the Simon Jarvis Lecture Theatre and Courtyard Building to wait for the start of your Principal’s talk.

You are asked to arrive on campus about 10 mnutes earlier than your stated start time.

Returning Second Year Students - lessons begin 1 September 2026

Lessons for students who are returning to College for their second year will commence on Tuesday 1 September 2026.  Second year students will attend lessons in College on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 September following a temporary timetable.  Work will be set to be completed at home on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 September as we will be holding Induction sessions for our new first year students.  Lessons will then resume in College on Monday 7 September following new timetables which will be issued on 4 or 5 September.
