Examination Results

The College offers great diversity and choice and we are proud of the results of our students. We do not artificially inflate the entrance requirements in order to guarantee success and high places in the league tables, as do some selective  and independent schools. We are proud of our open policy. However, if we look at the results of our students by ability, they are outstanding.

Comparison with Selective Schools

Listed below are the percentage of grades at A and B achieved by students at this College by ability, compared with typical results in selective independent schools in the country.

Targets for each student

Not content with past success, we are committed to the continuing improvement of students' achievements. To this end, every A level student entering the College is set a minimum grade for examination performance and is helped by tutors to try to exceed it.
