Textile Students design for TopShop
During the past term, a group of AS and A2 Textile students met once a week to participate in an enrichment project. The brief was to respond to a Topshop buyer’s request to design and construct a collection appropriate to their client base.
Students were provided with information on trends in garment styling, colour palette and imagery for embroidery detail. They were asked to design and make either a racerback top or panelled skirt. They were adventurous in their choice of fabrics which included a recycled two-man tent, hand dyed jersey and cotton batik! The final outcomes are seen to the right...
