Transferring to a specialist sixth form college like this is an important stage in the development of young people. Although some schools call their sixth forms 'sixth form colleges', a specialist sixth form college like Farnborough provides a very different experience from school.
This College concentrates all its resources and expertise on teaching 16-19 year old students who join us from a wide variety of schools, many with sixth forms of their own. As a student, you will quickly discover that you are in a community where all want to succeed in their studies. Of course, everybody recognises that hard work is necessary - but the experience of studying at Farnborough is a rewarding and enjoyable one.
If you are offered a place, you will make many new friends, you will have experienced the process of moving from school to college, and you will have an opportunity to benefit from what Ofsted has described as "the best sixth form teaching in the country".
The College has scheduled two Open Days in the Autumn term: Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 November 2013, 3.30 pm - 9 pm.
