Dr John Guy, College Principal said: "I am delighted the College has received these awards from The Good Schools Guide; it is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the staff and students at the College."
The College received the awards after The Good Schools Guide carried out its own thorough independent analysis of the data produced from the national examination results. Editor, Ralf Lucas said: "They are based on the results which go to make up the 2006 A Level performance tables, and combine measures that indicate superb teaching. We measure the success that students achieve in each examination in relation to their overall results, because good teaching inspires good performance."
The College was recently inspected by Ofsted and it was judged to be Outstanding in all five graded areas of inspection.  Dr Guy said, “To receive 11 awards from the Good Schools Guide for achievements in 2006 is a wonderful recognition of the outstanding teaching and learning which takes places in this College – and helps to explain the Ofsted judgement of which we are very proud”.
